I’m Sorry

Posted by jassysparklez on July 12, 2008

I’m so sorry everyone, but I don’t think I can take it. It’s not that the pokemon games I was working on were failing, or not being coded in right, or anything. But it’s the constant hate from some people, and the people who just really don’t listen to you..

I tried to finish Pokemon Online, and Pokemon Stadium for those who did want me to and were not pestering me about it, and for those people out there I am sorry…Please forgive me. But I can no longer do it, I can’t. And so instead of being mean and turning people down I decide to just work more on becoming a better Sprite Maker, and TIle Designer for hopefully a game I can enjoy, or just my own pleasure.

I am also sorry for all the BYOND guilds made by some users who wanted me to finish, I can’t. I can’t be mean, but at the same time I can’t take it.

Pokemon Online, and Pokemon Stadium, have been blacklisted in zip passworded files in secret locations anf backup spaces for incase I someday look back and want to finish them. But for now Jasmine just wants to finally get some people to get off her back and give her some space. Again, I say sorry….

Pokemon Online update information!

Posted by jassysparklez on July 11, 2008

Sorry for keeping some of you who seem to always want to know how it’s coming waiting a couple days! Here are some updates being worked on!

First off we have new help from Myspace! Why Myspace? Well it’s actually a pokemon group ON myspace where I met Shiloh. She used to be an active member on her serebii account, and also played every pokemon game created, and loves RPGs. Why is this useful? She is writing some story quests, and little treasure hunt style quests being added to Pokemon Online. Also she is giving her direct input to Pokemon Online and if all goes well in the release she will be emailing Serebii asking nicely to talk about it at least once. Cool huh?

Next up is the shell server coming for when the game hits official release of the new updates! The shell is being provided by GM, and good friend Son Danny who was kind enough to offer it to me before, and I finally accepted it and that will be hosting the server. I made it clear to him and I will make it clear to everyone that he has no special treatment for doing this, and is treated equally as others. He knows it and is kind and figured as much as it was, but yeah. Just thought I’d let you all know?

Other news that you guys may like is the battle system for the first updated release is almost completed. It will try and feature at least four attacks for each attribute. And also is the whole attribute advantage factor(Water > Fire, etc).

Als being finished up is the pokemon additions, and so is the town additions.

I do still plan on keeping some things a secret, or at least a surprise until you decide to play, after all I wouldn’t want you knowing about everything included, would I?

Adios, everyone!

A Domain Website?

Posted by jassysparklez on July 7, 2008

It’s set in stone now!

Thanks to help from a friend of mine KiddyBlock Productions will be getting a .com domain registered server account from 4Domains. Why is this such good news? Pssshhhh. Now I can directly(After some work) give you guys direct blog updates, and thanks to BYOND’s PHP Guild and Tiberath I was able to get a coding script for showing online servers. Fun huh?

The first version of Pokemon Online I hopefully want to release soon so some of you can play it maybe this summer? Haha, But I don’t want to actually rush it either. Kind of a hard decision.

Drone

Posted by jassysparklez on July 6, 2008

I am pleased to announce the success of the Drone project for within Pokemon Online!

Arthur(The Drone), is capable of being configured and treated as an actual player. Considering I cannot host good, or at all for the life of me! Arthur serves as a single player companion. Arthur is capable of moving(My control obviously) and capable of being anything in the game, including a GM!

Where did the idea stem from? Well actually I will give the credit to a friend who convinced me to watch an AMV on youtube of Kuriboh that had one of my favorite bands as the song. When I saw him Multiply it gave me a faint idea that I took action on, and the end result of trial and errors was Arthur!

Arthur gave me some trouble at first. And just to be a little comical with this? I will tell you what Arthur did!

  1. Arthur would move when I moved him, but still wandered around like a drunk.
  2. Arthur was testing with the GM settings I allowed him to have, and bypassed some blocks and banned me.
  3. Arthur’s speech decided it’s echo for about 20 times with just saying hi, but there was absolutely no balance in speech for a week.
  4. He decided he wouldn’t come when called.
  5. I told him to be a Trainer once and he carried over his Pokemon variables and decided to be duel-wielding!

Untraceable Review.

Posted by jassysparklez on July 6, 2008

Excellent Movie!

I decided to, out of being bored, rent another movie on Pay-Per-View. And I looked at the preview for the movie “Untraceable” and decided it might be interesting. The movie plays as a site that the more views it gets, the more a machine of some sort does something that slowly kills the victim. The more views? The quicker the death.

First glance to the movie and I thought it was a little bit sickening how you see the deaths but I guess that was the main idea behind it, sorta. The death scenes were well thought up, and so was the background story really. There was some little connection love scenes which I liked(Girly side of me, sorry) and then some that were way to predictable.

The thoughts behind making a website that does this was amazing, how they went through and described how it was done so that the FBI could not trace it, was also good. They explained it in the screenplay really well, especially for those who aren’t familiar with the computer stuff to. So I think that was a key role in this type of cyber-space movie.

Between the story, the action, and the somewhat predictable moments, I will say this is a good “Must See” film for a 21st Century outlook.

P.S,

I tried really hard not to give away ANY key points, or spoilers, in the movie. If I did, sorry.

BYOND’s Fun Zone Productions.

Posted by jassysparklez on July 1, 2008

As much as it looks organized and everything, some things about the way they seem to act puzzle me. I work for and help manage a Production team for Pokemon games only called “KiddyBlock Productions”. Now at KiddyBlock Productions we for the most part got everyone on the same pace(Only three of us, but for the most part we can be multi-handling with objectives), so there is no need to request anymore assistance truthfully.

While surfing the BYOND Anime forums which I tend to do allot now a days it seems I found the newly posted request for a new pixel artist for Fun Zone Productions. It looked all well until I saw a couple things.

Now the couple things are in one section so let me just tell these people what I really think, and in a kind and rational way.

  1. If team work in your productions team is “Emphasized” then you should be a team player and help out someone falling behind or struggling in your group.
  2. If they get bored and decide to watch a cartoon that is there choice. More to life then the internet.
  3. You can go through all those kind of pixel artists for those games but I can guarantee you won’t find people totally active and able to put a massive deal of time into things of that nature.
  4. Moving their name to credits won’t change a thing. If they leave and decide to take their work with them? They can. If you use it? Tough luck, you’ve now used un-permissive art and stole it without original artist’s consent.
  5. Working on FIVE games is a tad excessive at once even for a productions team. Might I suggest one or two games, and brain storm for others when you get a neat idea for it.

I really am sorry for going off at you guys like this but it does seem a bit much. You sound like you have such high expectations for people when you’re not even paying for services, dears.

Gotta update ‘em all!

Posted by jassysparklez on June 30, 2008

Ok so now that it’s summer(not like it matters in my point of view, but yeah) people have been asking me to work more on Pokemon Online, and Pokemon Stadium. What did I have to say to it all? I think I will! I have been out of the coding thing for BYOND for a bit to long and I have all these ideas for each game written down and just waiting for me to actually put them to use.

Here is some little spoilers on what is to come for each game! ^^

Pokemon Online:

  • New additions to the login stuff.
  • Obviously more pokemon.
  • More variety in Pokemon Items.
  • Pokefood is being added.
  • Freshly created Staff System.
  • A building in some towns will be created for Pokemon Arenas.
  • A new pokemon navigational map is being implanted into each Pokemon Center with where you are.
  • Pokemon now have some leeway for their attacks depending on which badge their trainer has will determine if the pokemon do the attacks ordered to do.
  • Don’t want to evolve as a Pokemon? You don’t have to! Everstones can be given to you and removed by your Pokemon trainer.
  • Want to talk in the Pokemon language? Do it! Now Pokemon in game can talk in the native Pokemon language and trainers can NOT here a word. (Warning: Staff can hear you regardless)

Pokemon Stadium:

  • New arenas are being worked on for attribute advantages.
  • Computer trainers and pokemon are being managed for practice(In development still buggy)
  • Pokemon Vendors are being placed in the game to buy new Pokemon to use in battle with.
  • Pokemon Leveling, Statistics Placement, and more are being worked on now! Be patient!

I plan to be done with these updates as soon as I can, Promise! <3

George Carlin.

Posted by jassysparklez on June 27, 2008

Now I have tried to tell some of my friends about him that I see daily for a good few reasons. And it does kind of seem odd the results I get from them. An example of this oddity is when I told a friend that he sadly passed away she said “He was a dirty and ill humored comedian”. Now that is her opinion at that but it seemed a bit hypocritical for her to question some dirty humor when she loves comedy from Dane Cook, David Chapelle, and among others Katt Willians. What I think she did mean was she didn’t find a chunk of what he said funny, perhaps the whole Religion Comedy, or maybe how he spoke out about Feminism. Why did I like his comedy? I loved how he before defended saying what he want, and was never afraid to share what he thought of, and how he believed. Now a days you hear allot of jokes, cracks, and spiteful comments that he spoke in his comedy, but on that note how many will not turn the other cheek and stop and tear them down for thirty minutes?

He was atheist and out-spoken about it sometimes rationally, but don’t religious people do it to?
